2K Foundations x Paul George
Everyone is invited to play; and with two new basketball courts, there’s room for everyone! Here’s how we helped Paul George and 2K Foundations multiply their impact for a community enrichment program centered around basketball.
What we did
Seven-time NBA All-Star Paul George is passionate about 2K Foundations’ efforts to create access to the game of basketball in communities across the US. This set the stage for a flourishing partnership to bring these efforts to his hometown of Palmdale.
With the mindset that two is better than one, we identified two different locations to make the most impact in the community. The first is the community’s largest and most well-known park, Marie Kerr Park, a hub for local and neighboring families and teams. The second is Domenic Massari Park, a court on the east side of Palmdale that Paul grew up playing on.
On behalf of 2K Foundations, we worked closely with the NBA All-Star, artist collective ArtMobb, and the City of Palmdale to inject spirit and color back into the basketball courts of Paul’s youth. The launch was met with great excitement, attracting upwards of 1,500 residents as we unveiled the hard work and dedication put into each location.
