What we did

We headed back to where it all began. The place: Devin Booker’s Missippi hometown, where he attended the same high school as his father and grandfather. Growing up there was never a place to host a proper basketball game. Devin, alongside 2K Foundations, was on a mission to change that.

Our team went on a hunt to find court locations that could be rehabilitated or rebuilt and came to the table with 2 very viable options. The team couldn’t pick just one, so we decided to do them both. Each hadn’t been played on for over 20 years and most of the court had been overrun by weeds. We knew we needed to fix the problem and find a solution to create a space where the community could come together.

Devin convinced long-time friend, Los Angeles artist Mr. Cartoon to jump on board and create something truly special on each of the courts.
