Love Me (Bar)Tender Pop-Up

Elvis is in the building. NRG recreated Presley’s Jungle Room experience in a multi-city pop-up that proved there’s no place like Memphis.

What we did

It’s the home of rock ‘n roll, blues and soul. It’s a destination for slow-cooked BBQ, craft cocktails, and all-things Elvis (including his beloved Jungle Room). If you haven’t been to Memphis, it’s a trip you simply must take. NRG showed would-be visitors why in a pop-up fit for The King himself.

C+C asked NRG to concept, produce, staff, and manage a special tour to attract publicity and tourism for the city of Memphis. NRG delivered with the Love Me (Bar)Tender Pop-Up Experience, recreating The Jungle Room in bar takeovers in New York, Boston and Chicago. From the carpet to the furniture, wall designs and trinkets, no detail was overlooked, much to the delight of Elvis fans and curious visitors alike. And just in case anyone was “All Shook Up,” a Boomerang Slider captured the experience in 3D gifs.

The atmosphere wasn’t the only thing bringing the Memphis flavor. To celebrate Media Night in NYC, Chef D. Arthur Catering gave guests a taste of the city with a menu that included Deconstructed BBQ Nachos, Smoked Jackfruit Sliders, Collard Green Eggrolls, and Gibson Donuts Bread Pudding Bites. The southern flavor carried over to the bar, where guests imbibed themed drinks like the Memphis Soul Fashioned and Heartbreak Hotel Highball.

Elvis once said, “Do something worth remembering.” This one won’t soon be forgotten.
